Remastering from nothing...
Pando Platypus' Typing Bonanza is a throw back to games of the 1990s, such as Typing with Timon & Pumbaa (1998) and Mario Teaches Typing (1992), that aimed to teach the younger generations (at the time) to learn how to type with more accuracy and faster speeds whilst keeping them engaged with the promise of spending time with franchise mascots. That is only the beginning of our story though because in Pando Platypus' Typing Bonanza the game itself is only part of the experience.
Under the surface
On the surface PPTB is a normal typing game. However scratch the surface and underneath is a conspiracy for the players to discover.
Inspired by games such as Pony Island (2016) the narrative of the story functions on both a sub-textual and metatextual level asking the player to engage with it on the level they are comfortable with and share their findings online.

Playing on Nostalgia
Whilst many typing games of the era had pre-established characters, Unrest Games introduces us to a mascot that time forgot. Pando is designed after Australiana cartoons of the era and brought to life by a talented team of animators. The game itself is a recreation of era as well, with mechanics that would seem familiar to anyone who remembers the edutainment era of learning.
It's okay to stay in shallow waters
Whilst the game does have deeper waters you could try and navigate. The game itself also functions as intended, players can choose to never engage in any of the deeper lore and concentrate on improving their typing speed and accuracy at their own pace.
